The National Eisteddfod is coming to RCT this summer!

Welcome to the Rhondda Cynon Taf National Eisteddfod

Come and see us in Rhondda Cynon Taf from 3-10 August 2024 for a taste of our language and culture at their best.

From music to literature and from a full programme of competitions to Wales' premier contemporary art gallery, there's something for everyone at the National Eisteddfod.

Ynysangharad Park in the centre of Pontypridd will provide a focus for most activities and pavilions, with the town also playing an important role during the week, creating an urban, alternative and exciting Eisteddfod, combining the local area with the festival itself.

Families may also be interested in applying for a free admission ticket and food voucher for the Rhondda Cynon Taf Eisteddfod. This followed the announcement by Welsh Government that additional funding of £350,000 would become available to support RCT families to attend the festival. We are really pleased to say that over 4,500 people have already applied for their ticket and food voucher and that some tickets and food vouchers are still available. If you are yet to apply, we would urge you to complete the simple online form below which confirms that you have:

• at least 1 child (aged 6-16) that attends a RCT County Borough Council School, Pupil Referral Unit, Education Other Than At School provision or is Electively Home Educated (EHE) – www.rctcbc.gov.uk/RCTEisteddfodFamilyTicket.

Should you have any questions or would like assistance completing the form, please email Eisteddfod2024@rctcbc.gov.uk.

Closing date to apply is Sunday 30th June 2024.
