  • Christmas Wishes to all!

    Thu 19 Dec 2024

All the staff at Ty Gwyn wish all our pupils and families a very Happy Christmas.

We have worked hard this term and had some fun as well, lots of challenges and lots of progress.

Christmas is also a time to think of others and many staff and friends of Ty Gwyn in the community have donated presents and treats to ensure every child had a gift bag to take home. Any finance left will be added to the school account for the benefit of the pupils next year.

We have also linked with the local Trussell Trust branch to support our families at this time and donated hampers and other items ourselves.

The ancient African word “ubuntu” means humanity to

others, the true spirit of Christmas and our final

    thought of the year.

See you all 6th January 2025!

  • Christmas Fayre 🎄

    Tue 17 Dec 2024

    A huge thank you!

Thankyou to everyone who joined us for our postponed Christmas Fayre today, perhaps it was meant to be as we had even more guests than we could have hoped!

It was lovely to see everyone and when we have “repaid” the cost of materials, there will be over £200 raised for our school account where all funds are devoted to enriching the school experience of our pupils.
Head over to the gallery section to see some pics!

    Merry Christmas everyone!

  • Battery Recycling Challenge

    Sat 07 Dec 2024

Ty Gwyn is taking part in the battery recycling challenge with Bryn Pica Waste and Recycling facility.

Its the time of year when you get the decorations out, change the batteries, get batteries for the toys and gifts too, so send them in (in a secure bag) and we'll take them off your hands!

Lets see how many bins we can fill #reducereuserecycle

  • Stars in our Schools!

    Wed 04 Dec 2024

This week is a time to celebrate the Stars in our Schools, the teaching assistants! These are the biggest part of our school and essential to the smooth running of the school and much needed support for our vulnerable learners.

Thanks to the local branch of UNISON for the goodie bags.

We also had a lovely celebration for our temporary teaching assistant Demi who won "TA of the Month" from her employment agency Vision for Education. Well done and congratulations, enjoy the hamper!
